Jessica Lessin is the founder, editor-in-chief and CEO of The Information, the leading authority on the technology business known for its original and in-depth reporting. Lessin also co-hosts the weekly “More or Less” podcast that shares insights on the latest Silicon Valley news. She is a regular guest on CNBC and has appeared on NPR, CNN and PBS’s “The Charlie Rose Show.” Lessin also regularly contributes reporting and analysis to The Information’s coverage.

A passionate advocate for high quality journalism, Lessin created The Information Accelerator and invests regularly in young news startups, including Racquet, Semafor, Dynamo, The Ankler, Charter and The Logic.

She is Chair of the Board of The 19th News and a board member of the Columbia Journalism Review. She has been named to the Paley Media Council and the Council on Foreign Relations. Lessin is also a member of the Graduate Council of the Harvard Crimson and mentors their young college journalists.

As a philanthropist, Jessica has served on the board of Teach for America Bay Area and the Primary School and is a passionate supporter of nonprofits dedicated to reducing the education gap in the United States.

Lessin was born in New York and graduated magna cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa from Harvard College in 2005. She lives in the Bay Area with her husband and three boys.
